Ceramic Coatings
Service Policy and Terms of Agreement
SERVICE DEFINITIONS: THE ABC’S
A. Standard Ceramic Coating
This application is designed for aesthetic surfaces including automotive paint, boat gelcoat, aircraft fuselages, RV fiberglass, and motorcycle tanks/fenders. It provides UV protection, chemical resistance, and hydrophobicity.
Thermal Limit: Rated up to 200°C.
Primary Surfaces: Body panels, fairings, and exterior plastic trim.
B. High-Heat Ceramic Coating
Thermal Limit: Rated for 600°C to 1,000°C+.
Primary Surfaces: Brake calipers, wheel barrels, exhaust headers, turbo housings, motorcycle engine blocks, and generator tailpipes.
C. The High-Heat Opt-In Upgrade Rule
High-Heat Opt-In Upgrade protection for mechanical, braking, or combustion-related components is strictly a separate, premium service.
Cobra’s Mobile Detailing will not apply coating to any high-heat surface unless it is explicitly selected as an upgrade and listed as a separate line item on the work order.
Cobra’s Mobile Detailing is not liable for the accelerated wear or failure of coatings on high-heat areas due to the inherent risk of coating materials being subjected to flash heat temperatures above and beyond a coating's rated thermal limit.
By opting-in to the high-heat upgrade, the Customer assumes all liability for damage to the parts or the coatings due to the inherent risk of applying ceramic coating to parts subject to extreme heat.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
24-Hour Dry Window: All assets must remain dry and indoors for 24 hours post-application. Exposure to water or dew during this window causes coating failure.
7-Day Chemical Cure: Do not use soap, degreasers, or high-pressure washers for 7 days.
Surface Preparation: Coatings are transparent and will lock in existing defects. We are not liable for scratches or oxidation if the client declines paint correction.
Slippery Surfaces: Coated surfaces (especially boat decks, RV roofs, and motorcycle tanks) become significantly more slippery when wet. Use extreme caution.
Maintenance: Warranty is void if the asset is cleaned with abrasive brushes or automated brush car washes.
